Windows shows a warning?
That is expected. Eclipse is a small independent project, and Windows warns about any app that is not signed with a paid publisher certificate. Those cost hundreds of dollars a year, so we do not have one yet. It does not mean the file is damaged or has been changed.
- A blue window called Windows protected your PC appears.
- Click More info, the small link under the message.
- Check that it says App: Eclipse-win-Setup.exe and Publisher: Unknown publisher.
- If it does, click Run anyway, the button that appears at the bottom.
If it shows a different app name, or you got the file anywhere other than this page, don't run it. Delete it and download it again from here.
Some antivirus programs may also react to Eclipse, because it works inside Minecraft.
For advanced users: check the file's fingerprint
SHA-256 fingerprint
You need Windows 10 or 11 and your own copy of Minecraft for Windows. Already paid? Sign in on the launcher with the same account you paid with. Curious what it installs? See how Eclipse works.
